Hi - I’m Kate Ward. I’m a co-founder of Creator Now, where we are reimagining film school for digital creators. Previously, I was on the management team for some big wig YouTubers like Yes Theory and Airrack.

Here I write short essays (almost everyday) about creators, digital media, life lessons, and what it’s like to be a founder on a quest to build something meaningful.

If there was a tagline for this Substack, it’d probably be “what the f is this cosmic joke” because 1) I’m an existentialist at heart, and 2) I just can’t help myself.

Why should I read?

My favorite art captures ordinary ideas in ways that momentarily shift our perspective. That’s my goal here - to make work that reminds me what it means to be alive. My hope is that it also acts as a mirror for you, too, and inspires you to go make stuff in the world that you’re proud of.
